Scouting America

Pack 226

Our Cub Scout Pack 226 is quite unique as we completely focus our program around Jesus Christ. As our boys aim to develop their character, citizenship, leadership and personal fitness, they are encouraged to be a light to those around them. While in a den of boys in their same grade, they develop new skills, interests and are exposed to many fun and exciting outdoor adventures throughout the year. We meet in Plano on three Tuesday nights each month, September through May, with additional activities offered in the summer.

Some Fun Pack Activities

• Family Campouts
• Pinewood Derby
• Raingutter Regatta
• Overnights at the USS Lexington/NASA for older cubs

Troop 226

Boys Ages 11-17

Mission

Troop 226 is dedicated first and foremost to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making it a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path, and an instrument to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. We deliver a quality Scouting program that honors the Lord and equips young men to be prepared and to live out the Scout Oath and Law.

Purpose

Founded on the wisdom of Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it,” the purpose of Troop 226 is to help parents train and equip their sons – through the Scouting program – to be capable Christian leaders. This training is built upon the foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Scout Oath and Law.

Troop Activities

Monthly campouts, service projects, summer camp, high adventure trips, learn leadership skills.
